Upper West Side Bathroom Renovation
About this project
We helped Nancy remodel the bathroom in her new New York City apartment. The challenge was to make the space feel warm and welcoming while keeping it spacious and functional with lots of storage space.
Matt, the project planner, met with Nancy to capture the vision, timeline and budget. He understood the goal was to modernize the bathroom, improving the look and functionally while creating a design that stood out.

Every renovation project starts with the planning phase led by the project planners. At the at-home visit, Matt captured a 360 degree tour of the bathroom to get accurate measurements and fast-track the project.

The design challenge was to upgrade the bathroom and create a luxury spa feel, closer to nature and further from the hectic cityscape. The client went for a unique design that is uncommon in other apartments. The designers worked on several layouts and design visualizations so Nancy had plenty of options. Finally, Nancy made her design decision and felt confident going into the construction phase.
During the building phase, the construction team worked on a gut renovation for the bathroom, including plumbing, electrical work, replacing the cast iron bathtub with a walk-in-shower, and installing the wall and floor tiles. The final result featured a gorgeous marble accent shower wall and sophisticated décor fixtures conveying a luxurious yet serene feel.
